Voices of Harrow exhibition
The recently inaugurated Art Park in the picturesque suburb of Harrow, Greater London, is hosting the Voices of Harrow exhibition as part of the London Festival of Architecture in June 2025. This event has united local artists and creatives to express diverse voices through sculpture painting, print, and mixed media.
My exhibition pieces and the story behind them...
These pieces, both titled Standing Out from the Crowd (acrylic on canvas), are about choosing to live differently. They’re about taking a stand — not in a loud or performative way, but by being unapologetically yourself. Each figure steps forward from the masses, emotionally present and unfiltered. One expresses sadness, the other defiance — but both hold their ground. For me, this ties directly into the theme Voices. These works explore the quiet power of showing up in your truth. They ask what it means to use your voice — not just through speech, but through presence, choice, and creative expression. In a world that often pushes sameness, there’s something radical in simply being who you are. My work often plays with contrast and repetition, using colour and emotion to draw focus. I like to create space for people to pause, reflect, and feel — and maybe, to see themselves in the figure that dares to stand out.
